At first since I knew scooter in 2009, I had only my father’s scooter, which I have been riding it now, but one early 2014, i had decided to buy the new scooter from Trung; who has been my friend when we was student at university period; a 1967 VBC Vespa, the colour is light blue, that is also one of my favorite colours. After having it for a long time, getting so multiple trips, i discovered myself was not suitable on this such scooter. Soon after, i sold it out, to a young and nice lady, which bought it for her boyfriend as a birthday present, in Hanoi – the North.
The tire of this version was set on 8″ diameter, which lower than mine, 10″D. It is because i initially like this scooter at an advantage: the flexibility when riding in the city, as well as the smoothie when you were heading on the slope or the U-pass on hills or mountains. One more interested thing, its weight is lighter than others, so you can speed it like a strong wind without much difficult. But at last, I unfortunately had it sold.
Mr. Da – as known as The Scooterist, is a head leader of his own Scooter club, which was established as well as a founder, since midst 2010 in Saigon.
Whilst I am now writing and posting his scooter photos – a powerful 1973 Vespa Rally 200cc, it is not only good for riding on a long journey but seemingly good for looking and for value of which as well.
He bought that scooter in 2016 something, and has still been retaining, riding every day and taking good care of it carefully as though it were one of his family. Now while i am blogging his scooter photos on my site at the South, he is on Northwards hometowns in Middle Vietnam- Nha Trang city, at holidays.

A nice photo from an old picture of Nha Trang at 1967, displaying a lady, in Ao-dai traditional dress and Vienam cone-palm hat in the back seat, who was carried by a gentleman on their light blue vintage VBB scooter.
At 11pm, while i was working at my table, Mr. Phước, my best friend, had sent me an e-mail with pictures in attached saying our memories when we were young at Highschool in DongNai. I was totally surprised as I have never noticed these photos before. I had tried to collect my memories as many as maybe, though. I reached nothing!
Ms. Thuỳ Trang in yellow with nicely smile has been my classmate in Long Thành Highschool. The other in black was I at sixteen years old.
Thank for retaining the memories.
Hoping you are all better.
